"A five-car accident ensued during this morning's commute at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Ocean Avenue in Jersey City, according to Jersey City Fire Director Armando Roman.
Immediate details were not available according to Roman, who said the accident occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. Thursday morning.
According to witnesses, an elderly women lost control of her white Chevy Impala and crashed into multiple parked cars after clipping a moving black Ford Expedition while trying to turn onto Ocean Avenue from Linden Avenue, leaving multiple passengers entrapped in their cars for several minutes.
The driver of the Impala was taken to the hospital.
Further details were not immediately available."

"On what one family member said was going to be his last day on the job, a 24-year-old limousine driver died yesterday morning in a horrific crash on Tonnelle Avenue in Jersey City, The Jersey Journal reports.
Usman Chaudhry, of Storms Avenue in Jersey City, was declared dead at the scene at 3:43 a.m. after crashing a 2009 Toyota Camry into the back of a tractor trailer in the right southbound lane just south of Secaucus Road, police said."

"The driver who crashed into a Jersey City Heights Dunkin' Donuts last night, injuring eight people, has been charged with DWI, multiple counts of assault by auto and multiple motor vehicle violations, police said.
Police said Marco J. Guardiola, 55, of New York Avenue in Jersey City, was driving with a suspended license when his 1999 Isuzu Rodeo SUV smashed into the front of the crowded coffee shop at the corner of Central Avenue and Griffith Street at 8:40 p.m., spewing shards of glass everywhere.
He was treated for minor injuries at the Jersey City Medical Center and released into police custody this morning at 5 a.m. Guardiola's motor vehicle charges include reckless driving, failure to wear a seat belt and failure to exhibit registration, a driver's license and proof of insurance.
Of the seven other people injured in the crash, two were at the scene by EMS and the other five were taken to the JCMC, officials said.
A 14-year-old girl who suffered head trauma, leg fractures and facial lacerations underwent a 3-and-a-half hour surgery and two women were admitted and are in stable condition, a hospital spokesman said.
One of the women suffered multiple puncture wounds to her chest and back and abrasions on her arms and legs.
The Dunkin' Donuts reopened this morning, with plywood covering the huge glass panel that was broken last night."

"READINGTON — A two-vehicle crash in which an SUV flipped over then righted itself resulted in a Neshanic woman, Carol Chamberlain, being taken to the hospital and her dog, a passenger in the SUV, to the veterinarian.
An emergency radio broadcast heard at 10:05 a.m. today, Oct. 16, indicated that the accident took place at the intersection of Summer Road and Old York Road in Readington, not far from the Wawa convenience store on Route 202. The crossroad, which is a four-way stop, has been the site of several recent accidents.

At the crash scene this morning, Carol Chamberlain's husband said his wife was driving her Mazda SUV with her dog, a Briard breed, in a traveling crate when the SUV collided with a 1991 Lincoln Town Car. The Town Car was driven by Oswaldo Montes of Maine, who did not seem to be injured when he talked to a reporter at the scene.
The SUV, police said, rolled over at least once and came to a stop upright.
Chamberlain was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries, and her dog was taken to a veterinarian by her husband to be examined."

"A Bayonne man who may have been racing with another driver crashed his car into a wrought-iron fence early yesterday morning, sending all five people in the car to the hospital, authorities said.
Ralph Bacani, 19, of Avenue E in Bayonne, was issued numerous motor vehicle violations, including summonses for reckless driving and violating the conditions of his special learner’s permit, Jersey City police spokesman Stan Eason said.
The four passengers in the car had to be extricated by Jersey City firefighters after the 4 a.m. crash on Kennedy Boulevard near Stuyvesant Avenue, reports said.
All five people were treated at the Jersey City Medical Center for injuries that were not life threatening.
Eason said that “speeding and/or racing” may have played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
Bacani slammed into a parked car and a parking meter before the car came to rest on a wrought-iron fence next to a wheelchair access ramp in front of a doctor’s office."

Three Tulsa men are dead after a car was struck head-on by a sport utility vehicle at 46th Street North and 145th East Avenue in Rogers County.
According to authorities on the scene, a man in a Chevrolet Tahoe attempted to pass a semi in a no-passing zone, striking and killing two men in a Chevrolet Malibu, about 4 p.m. on Thursday.
The man driving the SUV was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the driver of the Tahoe as Owen McCool, 29, from Tulsa.
OHP identified the driver of the Malibu as Clifford Colyer, 21, and his passenger as Garold Benner, 23. Both men were from Tulsa.
All three men were pinned in their vehicles and had to be extracted by the Tulsa Fire Department, using the Jaws of Life."

Woman Dead, Teen Critical After Car Broadsides Their Minivan.

"TULSA, Oklahoma -
A woman is dead and a teenager is in critical condition after the van they were riding in was nearly split in two by a car that ran a stop sign early Tuesday evening, police said.
The two, who police said are sisters, stopped at a four-way stop at 21st Street and South Lynn Lane in East Tulsa. When they started to drive across the intersection, a car ran the stop sign and T-boned the minivan, according to police.
Both the driver of the minivan, 27, and her 17-year-old passenger were flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead.
Police initially believed the driver of the minivan was also a teenager, but later learned she was older.
The driver of the car was transported by EMSA to a hospital.  She'll be tested for alcohol and drugs, police on the scene said.
Crash investigators estimated the car was traveling between 55-65 mph at the time of the crash.
Identification of those involved is pending while authorities notify family members."

"TULSA, Oklahoma -
Two people were hurt when a van ran out of gas on a Tulsa highway. One of the injured was standing in the road trying to flag down help.
A man and woman in a mini van were stopped on Highway 412 just west of downtown at about 11:40 Friday night. The man was standing in the roadway trying to flag down another driver when he was struck by a woman driving a Chevrolet HHR.
Seconds later, a third car hit the Chevy.
The male pedestrian was alert and talking when transported to a local hospital. The woman driving the HHR complained of pain and was also taken to a hospital.
Two young girls were riding with the man and woman in the third car. The children, believed to be 1 and 3 years old, were checked out by emergency responders but were not taken to the hospital.
Authorities at the scene said there was no alcohol involved in the pile-up, and they weren't planning to issue any citations at that point in the investigation."

A Tulsa woman is dead following a single-car rollover wreck Saturday night. Troopers found the car while patrolling the area, authorities told News On 6.
Teresa Ann Benjamin was driving a 1998 Chevy S-10 pickup eastbound on Interstate 244 at 10:45 p.m. October 6 when she exited onto Yale Avenue, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Jamie Guinn.
"The accident's still under investigation, but it looks like the driver was attempting to exit off of I-244 eastbound onto Yale, made a late exit, hit the grass median, struck a sign and appeared to begin to roll, then hit the pole," Trooper Guinn told News On 6.
The pickup rolled one and 3/4s times before striking the light pole. Teresa Benjamin, 53, was pinned in the pickup for about an hour and 15 minutes, according to a collision report. She was pronounced dead at the scene from head injuries.
Passenger Linda Lou Benjamin, 59, was taken to a local hospital with internal injuries where she is stable, the report states. Another passenger, Tiawana Maria Smith, 45, was treated at the scene for neck injuries.
The condition of the driver at the time of the wreck and the cause of the accident are still under investigation."

"GLENPOOL, Oklahoma -
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and other agencies responded to an injury collision Saturday morning on Highway 75.
The rollover wreck took place just before 8 a.m. at the Duck Creek Bridge near 201st Street.
Authorities at the scene told News On 6 that the a woman driving a Chevrolet HHR may have fallen asleep behind the wheel. Marsha Sloan of Mounds was northbound on the highway when the car ran off the side of the road, striking a guardrail.
The car rode the guardrail then went down the rocks on the south side of Duck Creek, through the water then came to rest on the rocky north of the creek. It rolled an unknown number of times, according to a state trooper's report.
She was freed from the car by Glenpool Fire Department and flown to a Tulsa hospital. Glenpool police assisted troopers at the scene.
Sloan, 50, is in a Tulsa hospital where she is stable with arm, leg, head and other injuries, according to a trooper's report."

Tulsa police were called to a rollover wreck in east Tulsa at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday. They found a car that had rolled on its top on Admiral at 117th East Avenue.
Police were told the vehicle had been eastbound on Admiral from Garnett when it went to the left, hit a culvert and flipped.
The occupants of the car left in another vehicle. It is unknown if there were any injuries."

"TULSA, Oklahoma -
A man was seriously injured after his car rolled on U.S. Highway 169 at about 5 a.m. Saturday. It happened just south of the 81st Street exit in the southbound lanes of the highway.
Tulsa police say the man, who was about 30 years old, was trying to pass another vehicle when he lost control of his SUV. The SUV rolled several times, trapping the driver inside. He was freed by Tulsa firefighters.
Carl Bennett, the driver of the car being passed, said he saw the SUV speeding by him then saw the underside of the car right in his front windshield.
"It was all pretty fast," he said. "He was rolling level with my steering wheel, so I cut over to the right to get out of it, and that's where he stopped."
Traffic was diverted from the highway for a couple of hours.
"It does appear that alcohol was involved tonight," said Corporal R.W. Solomon, Tulsa Police.
Officers say the driver was in very serious condition and was rushed to surgery Saturday morning.
"As of right now, he's still with us," Solomon said."

Serious Injury Traffic Crash - Nehalem Bay State Park.

"(Manzanita, Oregon) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into the cause of a Saturday night single vehicle serious injury traffic crash that occurred in Nehalem Bay State Park in Tillamook County.

According to OSP Sergeant Greg Plummer, on April 23, 2011 at 9:03 p.m. a trooper and area emergency personnel responded to a reported single vehicle serious injury crash in Nehalem Bay State Park. Preliminary investigation indicates a 2002 Ford Focus driven by Yvonne Elissa Perrone, age 29, from Nehalem, crossed the centerline on the roadway, lost control and slid sideways into a tree.

Perrone sustained serious injuries and was initially transported from the scene by Manzanita Ambulance to a location on Highway 26. She was transferred to a LifeFlight helicopter and taken to Oregon Health & Sciences University hospital.

Perrone was wearing safety restraints.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Manzanita Ambulance, Tillamook County Sheriff's Office, Manzanita Police Department and Nehalem Bay Fire & Rescue."

"(RAINIER, Ore.) - One person is confirmed deceased Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash on Highway 30 about three miles east of Rainier. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers report Highway 30 is completely blocked and may be for several hours.
A suggested detour for northbound and southbound traffic that needs to travel through this area on Highway 30 is to use the Longview/Kelso bridge and Interstate 5 routes. An alternative route to get to or from the Oregon coast is to use Highway 26.
According to OSP Master Sergeant Larry Lucas, preliminary information indicates on November 30, 2010 at approximately 6:00 a.m. a sport utility vehicle driven by an adult male was northbound on Highway 30 near milepost 43 when it drifted onto the shoulder.
The driver over-corrected to the left into the southbound lane where it collided head-on with a large truck. The sport utility vehicle's driver was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. The truck's driver was not injured.
No more information will be released until later today following the on-scene investigation and attempts to notify next of kin.
OSP troopers are being assisted at the scene by ODOT and Columbia River Fire & Rescue."

"(GASTON, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) is completing the investigation into an overturned commercial truck and trailer that dumped a load of household trash onto Highway 47 south of the Washington / Yamhill County line. The crash closed the highway and the involved driver was treated and released for minor injuries.
According to OSP Lieutenant Eric Davenport, on October 4, 2010 at approximately 7:15 a.m. a 2001 Mack truck pulling a large trailer loaded with household trash was driven by Charles L. Ryder, age 42, from Aloha, southbound on Highway 47 near milepost 30. Preliminary investigation indicates the trailer's load shifted causing the driver to lose control. The truck and trailer rolled onto its side after striking a PGE pole, resulting in complete highway blockage.
Ryder, who was driving for Walsh Trucking, was transported by ambulance to Willamette Valley Medical Center with minor injuries. He was treated and released.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Yamhill County Sheriff's Office, Gaston Fire Department, PGE and ODOT."

"(SALEM, Oregon) - Police arrested an off-duty Marion County deputy on DUII charges after a crash that left a man trapped in his wrecked vehicle, requiring extrication. Initial tests indicate that 61-year old Dennis Parson's blood alcohol level was approximately .227; nearly three times the legal blood alcohol limit.
Salem Police say Parson was driving his 1978 Chevrolet pickup westbound on Kuebler Boulevard at approximately 11:49 p.m., approaching Turner Road, when he struck a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 24-year old Justin Smith.
Smith had been stopped on Kuebler and was waiting to turn north onto Turner Road, according to reports, when he saw the other vehicle coming toward him and attempted to take evasive action.
His vehicle was struck on the passenger door by Parson's truck, which rolled onto its side and continued on Kueber Blvd, with the momentum eventually causing the vehicle to right itself.
Smith, who was trapped in his vehicle for approximately 30 minutes, was extricated by fire personnel and transported to Salem Hospital with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries.
Parson was not injured in the incident, and subsequent investigation by Salem Police Officers led to his arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Assault in the Third Degree and Recklessly Endangering Another Person."

Wilsonville DUII Crash Injures Two.

"(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - Late Wednesday night an Estacada man was driving his 2006 Nissan 350Z on SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville. The Driver, 24-year old Steven Decious, failed to negotiate a curve in the road and rolled his vehicle injuring himself and his passenger.
At 11:25pm on Wednesday, Washington County Deputies were dispatched to SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, deputies found the 2006 Nissan in a field on the vehicles roof.
The Nissan appeared to have rolled several times. The driver Steven Decious sustained a serious head injury because of the crash.
The passenger 24-year old James Pope of Milwaukie received a broken leg in the crash. Mr. Pope told the investigating deputy that he thought: “I’m going to die,” when the vehicle left the road and rolled. Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to OHSU. Mr. Decious’s blood alcohol level at the hospital was .16, twice the legal limit.
No arrests or citations were issued at the scene. Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident and Mr. Decious faces charges of DUII, Reckless Driving, and Assault."

Tigard Man Sent By Life Flight After Crash/

"(SHERWOOD, Ore.) - Today at 12:06pm, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a crash on Highway 99W and SW Chapman Road. This area is in unincorporated Washington County south of the city of Sherwood.
Upon arrival deputies determined 38-year-old Dale Lissner of Tigard was crossing Highway 99W traveling east from SW Chapman Road.
As he crossed Highway 99W, he pulled out in front of a pickup driven by 39-year-old Eric Stocking of Newberg. As he crossed the highway, he was hit by the pickup. The force of the crash spun the Nissan and it came to rest in the center median. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue had to extricate Mr. Lissner from his vehicle. He sustained lifethreatening injuries and was sent by Life Flight to OHSU. Highway 99W south was closed for about 30-minutes. The driver of the pickup sustained only minor injuries. The investigation is on going and no citations have been issues at this time."

"(SALEM, Ore.) - A head-on motor vehicle crash sent one driver to the hospital by helicopter earlier this evening. Marion County Deputies responded to a call received at 5:07pm and located the crash in the 18000 block of Fobert Road NE, between Hubbard and Aurora.
Investigation revealed that eighteen-year-old Ian L. Beyers , of Canby was traveling southbound in his 1994 Jeep Cherokee when he lost control of his car as it started up an incline on the gravel road. His vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a 1996 Nissan Sentra being driven by Alisha Fuzi, 23 of Newburg.
Ms. Fuzi was flown by helicopter to the Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland. Her injuries were lessened by her seatbelt and the driver's airbag that deployed on impact, but we have no official report on her condition. Any further medical report will only be released by the hospital upon the approval of Ms. Fuzi or her family.
Mr. Beyers, and his passenger, Walter Zebnitski, 19 were uninjured.
The Marion County Traffic Safety Crash team was called to the scene to assist. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

UPDATE: Following the investigation by the MCSO Traffic Safety Team, Ian Beyers was charged with driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving, and Assault 3."

Burglar Drives SUV Over Retaining Wall and Into a House.

"(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - On Saturday Washington County Deputies responded to a Burglary call in the 8400 block of Canyon Drive. Items taken from the burglary included a flat screen television. While deputies were investigating the burglary, another call of a motor vehicle crash came in to dispatch.
Deputies responded to the nearby crash and upon arrival located a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner perched on its front end and leaning against a house. Deputies contacted two men walking from the crash scene, 26-year-old Desmond Chand of Beaverton and 26-years-old Simon Saleem of Los Angles. They learned that Desmond Chand was the driver of the 4-Runner and Simon Saleem was the passenger.
When deputies looked inside the vehicle, they located a flat screen TV taken from the burglary scene. As a Deputy spoke to Mr. Chand and Mr. Saleem, Mr. Chand ran from the scene. Mr. Saleem was taken into custody. Washington County Deputies setup containment and conducted a canine track, but did not locate Desmond Chand.
After interviewing Mr. Saleem, deputies learn that Mr. Chand was drinking heavily prior to driving. Mr. Saleem was also injured during the crash; he was treated at the scene. Simon Saleem was arrested for Burglary I, Conspiracy to Commit Theft I, and lodged in the Washington County Jail.
Desmond Chand is wanted for the crimes of Burglary I, Theft I, Fail to Perform Duties of a Driver – Felony, Assault IV, Reckless Endangering, Criminal Mischief II x2, DUII, Attempt to Elude – Misdemeanor, and Reckless Driving.
Anyone with information on Mr. Chands whereabouts is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office via dispatch at 503-629-0111."
