Police: Man Seriously Injured In Torrington Crash.

The driver of a sedan that crashed into a parked car on Route 202 in Torrington early Friday morning was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital to be treated for serious injuries, police said.
The driver, 29-year-old Jago Protz of New Hartford, speeding eastbound on East Main St. near St. John's Place when he lost control of his black Volvo sedan and struck a parked vehicle.
The parked vehicle, a red Volkswagen sedan, continued to travel forward crashing into the side of a bridge, knocking the bridge railing into the river.
After making contact with the parked vehicle, the Volvo crossed lanes and crashed into the opposite side of the bridge, police said.
Protz was transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Litchfield with serious injuries He was expected to survive.
Route 202 near St. John's Place was closed but has since reopened to traffic.

VW Jetta on the right shoulder of the roadway. The Volvo continued to travel north east, across the center of East Main St, across the sidewalk on the south shoulder and struck the bridge railing on that side of the street."
