Driver hurt in crash with school bus.

"A 68-year-old woman was seriously injured when the 2010 Ford Mustang convertible she was driving smashed into the back of a parked school bus in New Cassel on Tuesday morning, shearing off the roof of the car and lodging under the bus.

There were no students on the bus at the time of the accident. Police said the 34-year-old bus driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The accident occurred at 8:55 a.m. at Prospect Avenue and Rushmore Street.
Nassau County police said the woman, whose identity was not released, was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.
Police said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
Police originally said the driver of the Mustang was a man."
