Three Tulsa
men are dead after a car was struck head-on by a sport utility vehicle
at 46th Street North and 145th East Avenue in Rogers County.
According to authorities on the scene, a man in a
Chevrolet Tahoe attempted to pass a semi in a no-passing zone, striking
and killing two men in a Chevrolet Malibu, about 4 p.m. on Thursday.The man driving the SUV was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the driver of the Tahoe as Owen McCool, 29, from Tulsa.
OHP identified the driver of the Malibu as Clifford Colyer, 21, and his passenger as Garold Benner, 23. Both men were from Tulsa.
All three men were pinned in their vehicles and had to be extracted by the Tulsa Fire Department, using the Jaws of Life."
