"BARNSTABLE — It was not a very happy new year for a 20-year-old Bourne man who crashed his car into a tree after a domestic dispute and now faces charges driving under the influence of alcohol.
Barnstable police responded to a reported dispute at a home in West Barnstable around 2 a.m. yesterday. After interviewing the woman, officers started looking for Seth Broemmer, who police said had fled the scene. At 2:24 a.m., an officer arrested the Sagamore man after his car crashed into a tree on Shoot Flying Hill Road near the Craigville Motel.
Broemmer was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, operating to endanger, and as a minor transporting alcohol, police said.
He was scheduled to be arraigned on those charges this morning in Barnstable District Court."
