"This morning at about 1:55 AM, Troopers from the Oregon State Police Portland Area Command responded to a two car traffic collision on SR 213 at Beavercreek in Oregon City.
The investigation determined a 2004 Kia Sorento, operated by (Name), 29, of Oregon City was eastbound on Beavercreek when her car ran the red traffic signal and was struck broadside by a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup being operated by (Name), 58, of Oregon City. Asher’s pickup was southbound on SR 213 at the time and had a green signal.
Miller was declared deceased at the scene. Asher was not injured and cooperated completely with the investigation. A passenger in Miller’s car, whose name is unavailable at this time, was transported by ground ambulance to OHSU hospital where he is being treated for serious, but not life threatening, injuries.
All the occupants were wearing their seat belts and alcohol usage is believed to be a contributing factor in the cause of the collision.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Oregon City PD, Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, AMR ambulance, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, and ODOT.
