"Oregon State Police troopers are continuing the investigation into Wednesday afternoon’s single vehicle rollover crash that injured four people on Highway 26 near Frog Lake.
According to OSP Sergeant Pat Shortt, on September 14, 2011 at approximately 1:00 p.m. a gray 1997 Oldsmobile van with four occupants was eastbound on Highway 26 near milepost 63. The van was operated by William Huffman, age 24 of Sandy, Oregon. The passengers in the van were Tony Bonner, age 26 of Gresham Oregon, Thomas Branner age 27 of Milwaukie, Oregon and John Sandoval, age 28 of Portland, Oregon. All of the occupants except Sandoval were wearing safety belts.
As the van was traveling eastbound it drove off the south shoulder of the highway, hit the end of a guardrail and rolled several times. SANDOVAL was thrown from the vehicle and landed at the bottom of an embankment. He was transported by Life Flight Helicopter to Emmanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon where he is being treated to serious injuries. The other three occupants of the van were transported by A.M.R. ambulance to OHSU in Portland. Bonner and Branner were both treated and released, while Huffman was admitted for treatment.
OSP troopers are continuing to investigate the crash including whether driver fatigue may have been a factor. OSP was assisted the crash scene by the Oregon Department of Transportation, the Hoodland Fire Department and the Clackamas County Sheriffs Office."
