2 Dead After Morning Accident in Augusta.

"Two men are dead after a morning crash in Augusta  County. 
According to state police, it happened around 7 a.m. along Woodrow Wilson Parkway near the ramp to Middlebrook Road.
A Chevrolet Equinox was traveling north on Route 262 when it crossed the centerline and struck a southbound GMC Sierra pickup truck.
The driver of the Equinox, James M. Bibb, 23, of Barboursville, died at the scene as did the driver of the Sierra, John D. Seale Jr., 56, of Millboro.
The highway was closed for a few hours while authorities investigated the scene and the crash was cleaned up."

Dump Truck Knocks Power Out, Closes Intersection.

"HARRISONBURG - The intersection of Vine Street and Old Furnace Road is closed due to an accident that happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver of a dump truck was traveling with the bed of the truck in a raised position. As he drove through the intersection the bed of the truck hit the traffic signals and overhead utilities.
Multiple crews are working to repair the lines. However, this intersection will be closed for several hours while the repairs are being made.
The driver of the dump truck, Dorman Mongold, 64, of Fulks Run, is charged with reckless driving, failure to secure load and defective equipment.
Three other cars were damaged when the overhead utilities and traffic signals were struck and fell down.
One person was taken to RMH as a precautionary measure."

Bergton Woman Killed in Crash on Route 42.

"A 75-year-old woman was killed Friday afternoon when her pickup truck swerved off Route 42 and hit an embankment near Broadway.
State Police say Margaret Morris Shoemaker, from Bergton, was not wearing a seat belt, and she was ejected from the truck.
They say she also hit the guardrail twice before hitting the embankment.
Emergency crews took her to Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where she died.
They are investigating whether a medical condition may have caused her to swerve off the road.
