South Beloit man killed in truck crash on I-90 near Elgin.

"A South Beloit man was killed Tuesday morning after his pickup truck collided with a semi truck on the Jane Addams Tollway, just west of Randall Road in Elgin.
Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Thomas Gartner said Michael Covert, 43, of South Beloit, was driving a black pickup truck west on I-90 about 7:30 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the rear of a semi truck parked on the shoulder. Gartner said it is unclear why the pickup left the roadway and the accident remains under investigation.
One westbound lane was closed immediately after the accident but all lanes have since reopened. The two vehicles have also been removed from the scene.
No one in the semi truck was injured in the crash."

3 teens killed in crash near Oswego.

" Three teenagers were killed after a semi slammed into a vehicle in Kendall County Monday.
It happened around 3:15 p.m. along Route 126 and Schlapp Road near Oswego. 
State police say it appears the driver of the car, (Censored), 19, of Plainfield, pulled out in front of the semi. That's when the truck slammed into the vehicle.
Herrera and two passengers in the car (Censored), 18, and (Censored), 19, all died. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
"It is the most unsafe intersection I have ever seen in my life," said Sandy Diller, neighbor. "At least once a month, there is a wreck at that corner."
The crash is under investigation.

Toddler dies from injuries in Naperville bus crash.

"A 23-month old Oswego girl has died from injures she sustained a week ago in a bus accident in Naperville.
(censored) of Oswego, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, said officials from the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Officials said Jada is an organ donor, and that an examination would be performed after her donation is completed today.
The toddler was critically injured in a crash caused when the girl’s mother drove a minivan into an oncoming school bus to avoid rear-ending a car stopped in front of her in south Naperville, authorities said.
Police say (censored), 36, of Oswego, was driving a Chrysler Town and Country minivan south on 248th Avenue and swerved into northbound traffic to avoid a stopped car that was making a left turn onto Lapp Lane.
The school bus, headed north on 248th, hit the van causing it to roll on its roof.
Hanson, her 4-year-old son and the 56-year-old driver of the otherwise unoccupied bus all were treated for minor injuries at Edward Hospital in Naperville."
