Minor crash involves 3 cars.

"Three vehicles were involved in a minor accident at S.W. Huntoon and Topeka just after 10 a.m. Thursday.
Topeka police officer Jesse Lowe said a silver car was traveling southbound on Topeka when it struck an Oldsmobile Alero traveling eastbound on Huntoon. A Honda Accord also traveling eastbound on Huntoon was unable to avoid the collision and got caught up in the wreck.
Lowe said Huntoon had a green light, but Topeka had a red. The driver of the silver car was cited for a red light violation, he said.
Wet road conditions were also a factor in the accident, Lowe said.
The Topeka Police Department, Topeka Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported."

Tigard Man Sent By Life Flight After Crash/

"(SHERWOOD, Ore.) - Today at 12:06pm, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a crash on Highway 99W and SW Chapman Road. This area is in unincorporated Washington County south of the city of Sherwood.
Upon arrival deputies determined 38-year-old Dale Lissner of Tigard was crossing Highway 99W traveling east from SW Chapman Road.
As he crossed Highway 99W, he pulled out in front of a pickup driven by 39-year-old Eric Stocking of Newberg. As he crossed the highway, he was hit by the pickup. The force of the crash spun the Nissan and it came to rest in the center median. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue had to extricate Mr. Lissner from his vehicle. He sustained lifethreatening injuries and was sent by Life Flight to OHSU. Highway 99W south was closed for about 30-minutes. The driver of the pickup sustained only minor injuries. The investigation is on going and no citations have been issues at this time."

OSP looking for witness in Roseburg crash.

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Oregon State Police are looking for a witness who saw a minor injury traffic crash Monday afternoon at the Edenbower Boulevard overpass and Interstate 5 in Roseburg.
The witness stopped at the scene but left before OSP troopers could get a statement as part of their investigation.

According to Senior Trooper Robert Gorman, at about 12:30 p.m., a two-vehicle head-on crash occurred on the Edenbower Boulevard overpass at Interstate 5.
The crash involved an eastbound black 2006 Nissan Altima driven by Abby Butts, 33, of Winston, and a blue 2003 Chevrolet pickup driven by Donald Pitmon, 77, from Roseburg, as both vehicles entered the intersection.

Butts was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries and troopers say Pitmon was not injured.

An unidentified adult female driving a red Ford Ranger pickup reportedly stopped at the scene but didn't provide a name or phone number, nor remain and provide a statement to police.
OSP is asking this witness or any others who saw the crash to contact Senior Trooper Gorman for a statement at (541) 440-3334 ext. 4716.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Douglas County Fire District No. 2, ODOT and Roseburg Police Department."

Roseburg man killed in Wednesday morning crash.

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Wednesday morning crash killed a Roseburg man on the overpass of I-5 at Exit 119 on Wednesday morning.
According to the Oregon State Police, Kindall S. Baker, 25, of Winston was driving a white 1997 Nissan Altima on the overpass heading to I-5 northbound at around 8:45 a.m.
Police say the driver of a black 1990 Acura Integra, (censored), 21, of Roseburg, was exiting the freeway when he crossed over the center line and crashed head on into Baker. Burkett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Burkett was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Baker was taken to Mercy Medical Center and released later that afternoon. Police say she was wearing safety restraints.
The scene was cleared and traffic resumed to normal at around 1:00 p.m.
OSP Troopers were assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, ODOT and local medical responders at the scene.

1 killed in Gulf Freeway rollover.

"TIKI ISLAND — One person was killed in a two-car, rollover wreck that closed the southbound main lanes of Interstate 45 on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Police, firefighters and a medical crew were called shortly before 4 p.m. to the southbound lanes just south of Exit 5. That area is south of Bayou Vista and just north of Tiki Island.

One person died from the wreck, Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo, a Galveston County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said.

Authorities at the scene weren’t immediately available for comment. The Department of Public Safety office in Texas City confirmed the wreck involved two cars and that troopers were handling the investigation.

The overturned car came to rest in the inside emergency lane. The second car believed to be involved stopped in the frontage road entrance ramp south of the overturned car.

Authorities routed traffic off the I-45 main lanes onto the frontage road at Exit 5. The freeway was reopened at 7:30 p.m.
