"On 09.21.2011 at 0737 hours the Northern York County Regional Police responded to a single vehicle crash on SR 116 near Little Creek Road in Jackson Township.
Investigation found that a 1997 Nissan operated by Roberto De Leon age 21 of York City was travelling eastbound on SR 116 when it crossed the roadway and struck a utility pole on the westbound side of the roadway.  The impact caused the pole to snap off near its base.
Roberto De Leon was uninjured.  Passenger Esmeralda Leal age 48 suffered minor injuries and was transported to York Hospital.
The crash caused several miles of SR 116 to be closed for approximately 2 hours until crews could remove the utility pole."

" The NYCRPD continues the investigation into a single vehicle crash that occurred on U.S. Route 30 near the intersection of Grant Road in Jackson Township.
The 06/29/2011 crash was reported at 15:30 hours with injury and an overturned vehicle. The driver was extricated by the Thomasville Fire Department and later transported toa n area hospital by the Thomasville Area Ambulance.
The driver of the vehicle is identified as James Nolder of the 400 block of West Market Street, York, PA, who was operating a Nissan Maxima."

"Three vehicles were involved in a minor accident at S.W. Huntoon and Topeka just after 10 a.m. Thursday.
Topeka police officer Jesse Lowe said a silver car was traveling southbound on Topeka when it struck an Oldsmobile Alero traveling eastbound on Huntoon. A Honda Accord also traveling eastbound on Huntoon was unable to avoid the collision and got caught up in the wreck.
Lowe said Huntoon had a green light, but Topeka had a red. The driver of the silver car was cited for a red light violation, he said.
Wet road conditions were also a factor in the accident, Lowe said.
The Topeka Police Department, Topeka Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported."

Five-car crash leaves multiple passengers entrapped in Jersey City.

"A five-car accident ensued during this morning's commute at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Ocean Avenue in Jersey City, according to Jersey City Fire Director Armando Roman.
Immediate details were not available according to Roman, who said the accident occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. Thursday morning.
According to witnesses, an elderly women lost control of her white Chevy Impala and crashed into multiple parked cars after clipping a moving black Ford Expedition while trying to turn onto Ocean Avenue from Linden Avenue, leaving multiple passengers entrapped in their cars for several minutes.
The driver of the Impala was taken to the hospital.
Further details were not immediately available."

Wilsonville DUII Crash Injures Two.

"(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - Late Wednesday night an Estacada man was driving his 2006 Nissan 350Z on SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville. The Driver, 24-year old Steven Decious, failed to negotiate a curve in the road and rolled his vehicle injuring himself and his passenger.

At 11:25pm on Wednesday, Washington County Deputies were dispatched to SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, deputies found the 2006 Nissan in a field on the vehicles roof.

The Nissan appeared to have rolled several times. The driver Steven Decious sustained a serious head injury because of the crash.

The passenger 24-year old James Pope of Milwaukie received a broken leg in the crash. Mr. Pope told the investigating deputy that he thought: “I’m going to die,” when the vehicle left the road and rolled. Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to OHSU. Mr. Decious’s blood alcohol level at the hospital was .16, twice the legal limit.

No arrests or citations were issued at the scene. Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident and Mr. Decious faces charges of DUII, Reckless Driving, and Assault."

Tigard Man Sent By Life Flight After Crash/

"(SHERWOOD, Ore.) - Today at 12:06pm, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a crash on Highway 99W and SW Chapman Road. This area is in unincorporated Washington County south of the city of Sherwood.

Upon arrival deputies determined 38-year-old Dale Lissner of Tigard was crossing Highway 99W traveling east from SW Chapman Road.

As he crossed Highway 99W, he pulled out in front of a pickup driven by 39-year-old Eric Stocking of Newberg. As he crossed the highway, he was hit by the pickup. The force of the crash spun the Nissan and it came to rest in the center median. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue had to extricate Mr. Lissner from his vehicle. He sustained lifethreatening injuries and was sent by Life Flight to OHSU. Highway 99W south was closed for about 30-minutes. The driver of the pickup sustained only minor injuries. The investigation is on going and no citations have been issues at this time."

Marion County Traffic Safety Team Deputies Investigate Head-On Crash.

"(SALEM, Ore.) - A head-on motor vehicle crash sent one driver to the hospital by helicopter earlier this evening. Marion County Deputies responded to a call received at 5:07pm and located the crash in the 18000 block of Fobert Road NE, between Hubbard and Aurora.

Investigation revealed that eighteen-year-old Ian L. Beyers , of Canby was traveling southbound in his 1994 Jeep Cherokee when he lost control of his car as it started up an incline on the gravel road. His vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a 1996 Nissan Sentra being driven by Alisha Fuzi, 23 of Newburg.

Ms. Fuzi was flown by helicopter to the Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland. Her injuries were lessened by her seatbelt and the driver's airbag that deployed on impact, but we have no official report on her condition. Any further medical report will only be released by the hospital upon the approval of Ms. Fuzi or her family.

Mr. Beyers, and his passenger, Walter Zebnitski, 19 were uninjured.

The Marion County Traffic Safety Crash team was called to the scene to assist. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

UPDATE: Following the investigation by the MCSO Traffic Safety Team, Ian Beyers was charged with driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving, and Assault 3."

"At just after 4:00am, South Australian Police allege that a vehicle was seen travelling at high speed along Hanson Road, Mansfield Park.

The driver and five passengers, in a Nissan Tiida sedan, were pursued along Torrens Road for a short distance until they collided with a delivery van on the intersection of Torrens and South Road in Ridleyton.
The four males and two females in the Tiida suffered serious head and limb injuries, and were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The male driver of the delivery van was also taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital for observation.
Police and Major Crash Investigators closed South Road shortly after 4:00am, with normal traffic flows hoped to be reintroduced at around 9:00am this morning."

SE Portland woman killed in wrong way collision on I-84.

"NEAR CORBETT, Ore. - The Oregon State Police is investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 84 east of Corbett that involved a motorist driving the wrong way.

According to Lt. Gregg Hastings, a 2007 Kia Rio was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes late Friday when it collided head on with a pickup driven by 53-year-old James Schneider of White Salmon, Wash.
The 36-year-old woman driving the Kia died at the scene. She was later identified as (censored) from Southeast Portland. She was wearing safety restraints and the car's airbags deployed, the Oregon State Police reported.
Schneider was taken to a Portland hospital with serious injuries.
Hastings said at least one driver complained about a wrong-way vehicle just before crash."

"ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Oregon State Police are looking for a witness who saw a minor injury traffic crash Monday afternoon at the Edenbower Boulevard overpass and Interstate 5 in Roseburg.

The witness stopped at the scene but left before OSP troopers could get a statement as part of their investigation.

According to Senior Trooper Robert Gorman, at about 12:30 p.m., a two-vehicle head-on crash occurred on the Edenbower Boulevard overpass at Interstate 5.
The crash involved an eastbound black 2006 Nissan Altima driven by Abby Butts, 33, of Winston, and a blue 2003 Chevrolet pickup driven by Donald Pitmon, 77, from Roseburg, as both vehicles entered the intersection.

Butts was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries and troopers say Pitmon was not injured.

An unidentified adult female driving a red Ford Ranger pickup reportedly stopped at the scene but didn't provide a name or phone number, nor remain and provide a statement to police.
OSP is asking this witness or any others who saw the crash to contact Senior Trooper Gorman for a statement at (541) 440-3334 ext. 4716.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Douglas County Fire District No. 2, ODOT and Roseburg Police Department."

Roseburg man killed in Wednesday morning crash.

"ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Wednesday morning crash killed a Roseburg man on the overpass of I-5 at Exit 119 on Wednesday morning.
According to the Oregon State Police, Kindall S. Baker, 25, of Winston was driving a white 1997 Nissan Altima on the overpass heading to I-5 northbound at around 8:45 a.m.
Police say the driver of a black 1990 Acura Integra, (censored), 21, of Roseburg, was exiting the freeway when he crossed over the center line and crashed head on into Baker. Burkett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Burkett was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Baker was taken to Mercy Medical Center and released later that afternoon. Police say she was wearing safety restraints.
The scene was cleared and traffic resumed to normal at around 1:00 p.m.
OSP Troopers were assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, ODOT and local medical responders at the scene.

"EASTON - A multi-vehicle accident at 7:33 a.m. near the Maryland State Police-Easton Barrack closed both east and west lanes of U.S. Route 50 for several hours. The west lanes have reopened to traffic; the east lanes will remain closed, likely until at least 2 p.m. as police continue accident reconstruction.The accident involved at least three vehicles - two cars and an SUV.

Police directed traffic onto the Easton Parkway, where traffic became congested.

The Route 50 accident happened about the same time as an accident on the Parkway at Marlboro Road. Then, a short time later, another accident on Royal Oak Road near Bellevue Road sent one person to a trauma center. Royal Oak Road has since reopened."

"East Fountain Boulevard is now open after a major crash at Academy Park Loop and Fountain Boulevard. The road has been cleared by the Colorado Springs Fire Department's hazardous materials team. According to the fire department, the crash involving a semi-tractor trailer and a car happened about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and fuel spilled onto the road. Two passengers from the car were taken to the hospital and treated for a broken arm and a non-life threatening head injury, respectively, according to Sand Creek Police dispatch.
One patient was extricated from a vehicle, according to the fire department. An initial call for a second ambulance was cancelled, according to emergency radio traffic.
The truck was on its side, with debris spilling across the roadway from the crumpled top. The car's left side was smashed and doors ripped off.
The crash shut down the east and west lanes of Fountain between Academy and Murray boulevards at the time."

"The operator of a black Nissan was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs after an accident Thursday morning that briefly closed the westbound lanes of Sunrise Highway in West Islip, officials said.

The driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center with head and face lacerations and is still at the hospital, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. The driver of the second vehicle was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center and has been released.

The Suffolk County Sheriff's Department was investigating the accident, which occurred east of the Robert Moses Causeway at 9:09 a.m. The westbound Sunrise Highway lanes were re-opened at 10:32 a.m., the sheriff's office said.

"LOWER SALFORD — Police are still investigating an early Friday morning accident that killed one person.

The northbound lane of the Turnpike’s Northeast Extension was closed for several hours following the fatal crash involving a tanker truck.

The crash occurred at 2:25 a.m. in the northbound lanes between the Lansdale and Quakertown exits, according to information provided by the state police.

Two accidents actually occurred at milepost A31.5 of the turnpike, according to Trooper Kevin Rathman, stationed with Troop T at the King of Prussia barracks.

In the fatal crash, a 2007 Nissan Sentra rear-ended a 1992 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Hervin Grey, while both vehicles were traveling in the right lane, according to police.

The Sentra, which was traveling at a high rate of speed, spun counter-clockwise in a northwesterly direction and came to rest in the left lane facing south, police said.

The Sentra absorbed heavy front-end damage. Authorities were not releasing the name of the vehicle’s driver.

Rathman said the state police did not have any information on the other accident involving a white Chevrolet sedan.

At the scene after the accidents, it appeared that the tractor-trailer had hit that vehicle from behind. Both came to rest along the highway’s shoulder.

Firefighters helped to extricate one person from the Sentra, according to Dean Miller, chief of the Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company.

Miller said three people suffered injuries in the incident.

“It’s pretty significant,” he said Friday morning.

The turnpike’s northbound lane reopened at 11:15 a.m., according to a trooper at the state police’s King of Prussia barracks.

Towamencin’s firefighters received the call to respond to a single-vehicle accident on the turnpike north of the Lansdale Interchange.

According to Miller, they arrived at the scene to find the Sentra — resting in the left lane — facing south.

He also said they discovered the tanker truck that had collided with the white car.

Firefighters assisted one victim who was out of his vehicle on the highway, according to the chief. He said another, resting on the grassy shoulder, had suffered a leg fracture.

Two medical helicopters prepared to take victims to hospitals, according to Miller.

North Penn Goodwill Service member Jim Hange said he was dispatched after 4:40 a.m. and got to the scene around 5 a.m.

The Goodwill Service provides food and other services to emergency personnel.

“There are going to be a lot of missed deliveries and missed appointments today,” said Hange, a Sellersville resident, referring to the closed turnpike and traffic backups.

Firefighters from Towamencin and Tylersport, as well the Harleysville EMS and Lansdale VMSC responded to the incident."

1 killed in Gulf Freeway rollover.

"TIKI ISLAND — One person was killed in a two-car, rollover wreck that closed the southbound main lanes of Interstate 45 on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Police, firefighters and a medical crew were called shortly before 4 p.m. to the southbound lanes just south of Exit 5. That area is south of Bayou Vista and just north of Tiki Island.

One person died from the wreck, Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo, a Galveston County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said.

Authorities at the scene weren’t immediately available for comment. The Department of Public Safety office in Texas City confirmed the wreck involved two cars and that troopers were handling the investigation.

The overturned car came to rest in the inside emergency lane. The second car believed to be involved stopped in the frontage road entrance ramp south of the overturned car.

Authorities routed traffic off the I-45 main lanes onto the frontage road at Exit 5. The freeway was reopened at 7:30 p.m.
